Scorpio     October 23 to November 21

A fixed water sign of negative polarity ruled by Pluto. Key Phrase 'I Desire'

How often have you heard 'OH! You're a SCORPIO!!' And why do people have this reaction to the Scorpio Sun sign? Well, mainly because Scorpio has total ego. Scorpio knows what he is, and he knows what he is not, and it matters not what anyone else thinks. That is the way it is! The Sun in Scorpio has an intense desire to investigate the nature of all things. They are prepared to dig deep to discover what makes you tick. A Scorpio can be relentless when on a trail of subterfuge. Scorpios possess strong will-power, and intense emotional desires. The desire to do everything perfectly makes it almost impossible for a Scorpio to delegate responsibility. Diplomacy is not part of their vocabulary. Scorpio's tell it like it is and expect you to deal with it. The sun here will defend justice to the death, if necessary. Scorpios are extremely loyal to friends and never forget a kindness, or, on the other hand, an insult.

Forecast 2009 to 2010

Your ruler, Pluto, has moved into the sign of Capricorn and will stay until 2024. During this time, Pluto will restructure the intense nature of Scorpio. Pluto will transform your ambitions, and use your strength to achieve personal independence and financial security. Scorpios have strong will power and Capricorns are never deterred by things that stand in the way of their climb to the top. Pluto is about power and control and in the sign of Capricorn can overcome all adversities.

Neptune from the sign of Aquarius, is squaring your Scorpio Sun. The good news is, that Uranus is in the sign of Pisces, in trine to your Scorpio Sun. These two planets are in MUTUAL RECEPTION - OK - you say - what does that mean? Let me explain:  Neptune rules Pisces and Uranus rules Aquarius - they are in each others signs and can change places at will.  This is a double edged sword  for Scorpios, when things are good, they are fantastic, but when things go wrong, they are really bad.

The square from Neptune is problematic, at best. The trine from Uranus can be creative and exciting. Nebulous Neptune makes it difficult to get to the root of the problem, but, Uranus inspires you to come up with some scathingly brilliant ideas on how to solve your dilemmas. You have choices, and it is up to you to decide on how you want to deal with difficult situations. BUT, (there is always a but) things can get a little bit tricky when these planets play musical chairs - artistic Neptune can inspire you to be very creative and then Uranus stops you cold with a shot of reality.

Responsible Saturn enters the sign of Libra in October 2009 until March 2010, then retrogrades back to Virgo until July 2010. At that time Saturn will take up permanent residence in Libra until October 2012. This is the end and the beginning of Saturn's 29 year cycle. Saturn is exalted in the sign of Libra, meaning the energy works to full capacity. Tact and diplomacy (not familiar key words for Scorpios) ensures success when dealing with Saturn. Saturn for the next few years will semi-sextile your Sun. Under this transit some opportunities may come your way, but you will have to pay close attention to take advantage of them.

Jupiter entered the sign of Aquarius in January 2009 squaring your Scorpio sun. Scorpio is about investigation, and uncovering the truth. Aquarius is about social reform that benefits humanity. Jupiter is about freedom. Jupiter seeks knowledge. 2009 will be a year of intense exploration into the deeper subjects of life, such as; social sciences, philosophy, religion and metaphysics. Your quest will deepen your insights and expand your life experience. Jupiter enters the sign of Pisces in January 2010 and will stay about a year. Pisces is about your beliefs. This is a perfect time to broaden your understanding of the bigger picture. It may be time to investigate your beliefs and how much they contribute to your life. This transit is a trine to your Scorpio Sun. Your creative potential is enormous and the year promises to be very beneficial in all areas of your life.
