Chris
McRae has been a professional astrologer since 1971, and is accredited by the
International Society of Astrological Research (ISAR.CAP), National Council of
Geocosmic Research NCGR.CA, as well as the American Federation of Astrologers,
PMAFA.
Over
many years Chris has lectured at major conferences throughout the world
including UAC, ISAR, AAGB, FAA, NORWAC, SOTA. Her lecture travels have taken her to
Moscow, Belgrade, England, Wales, South Africa, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Belgium,
Australia, New Zealand, and many major cities throughout Canada and the United
States.
From
1973-1982 she taught a six-semester course at Grant McEwen College which was the
first college in North America to include Astrology in its Adult Extension
Department. Altogether she has been teaching for 40 years and continues to do
so.
Chris McRae founded and is Honorary President of the (EAS) Edmonton
Astrological Society, and over the years has contributed to the global
Astrological Community in various capacities. She is currently Board
Vice-President for ISAR, Chairperson of ISAR Certification Program, and has also
served on the UAC Board of Directors, as well as the AFAN Steering Committee.
In
1982 she received the FCA Astrological Hall of Fame Uranus award for "Innovative
Ideas and Outreach Nationally and Internationally". She has been twice
nominated for the UAC Regulus Award for Community Service Internationally in
2002 and 2008.
In May 2012, at the internationally renowned UAC Conference in New Orleans,
Chris received the Marion D. March Regulus Award for Professional Image.
For
many years, Chris was a favourite television and radio interviewee and open line
guest, presenting the academic and psychological advantages of Astrology. For
four years she appeared monthly on the Good Good Morning TV show, presenting a
professional yet popular approach to Astrology. From 1989 to 1995 she wrote a
syndicated daily astrological column.
Chris
continues to share her wealth of knowledge today as an active member of the EAS,
international organizations, and her clients. Chris can be found lecturing at
various conferences throughout the world, when she is not at her computer
working on and developing new astrological concepts.
