In The Sky

What do we need to know? written by Betty Petruk

* Water * Air * Fire *

The energy that is flowing through our lives is moving with great speed. It is hard to get a grip on just what is happening in our lives when we are being pulled and pushed in all directions.

Uranus and Neptune are in mutual reception. Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius. Our mental and spiritual energies are being tested. We need to adjust our thoughts with faith. We have to understand what the other person believes in. Put ourselves in their shoes.

Saturn in Fire (Leo July 2005) and Pluto in Fire (Sagittarius) supports the drive and desire in our nature. The aspects between them form a trine. This is positive, powerful, and rewarding.

Jupiter in Scorpio (October 2005) forming a square to both Saturn and Neptune, but a trine to Uranus. This is a challenge to change the way we think and feel about each other. Take the responsibility of your life. One by One, we can make a difference.

Jupiter in Sagittarius

Jupiter is our Great Protector. Wherever he sits in our charts, we are protected. His purpose is to expand our minds to reach for the best that we can be. Depending on the aspects from other planets in our charts, this can be an easy ride requiring little effort, (lots of sextiles and trines) or it can be a struggle and require many adjustments and attitude changes (lots of squares, oppositions, and inconjunct).

The house Jupiter is in our charts, is where we play out the issues of expanding our minds. Where we find Sagittarius on the cusp the issues of that house are what we have come to learn and expand our minds to build a new philosophy.

Jupiter by transit continues his purpose to expand our minds and build a holistic life philosophy by traveling through all of the houses in a 12 year cycle.

Jupiter moved into its' own sign of Sagittarius November 23, 2006 and will remain until mid December 2007. Sagittarius is about the big picture. Jupiter is about expansion. Think big, think positive, do not limit yourself.

Saturn in Leo

Saturn is our Great Teacher. His purpose in our Charts is to teach us to build a solid character. One that will stand the tests of time. We must learn to take responsibility for our actions. We are in charge. The sign that Saturn is in at birth, and it’s natural aspect to Capricorn, will tell us if our character is solid or if it needs adjustments. For all of us “Baby Boomers” of the late 40’s and 50’s with Saturn placed in Cancer (natural opposition) or Leo (natural inconjunct) we have work to do on learning to take responsibility for our actions. We cannot feel sorry for ourselves because someone else is at fault, (Cancer) or disregard the rules and regulations because we feel they do not apply to us, after all we are the King. (Leo).

Saturn entered the sign of Leo in July 2005. This is in a Natural inconjunct aspect to it’s natal sign Capricorn. We can expect to make many adjustments to the way we handle authority in our lives. Ego will need to be kept in check, when dealing with those who have authority over us.

Uranus in Pisces

Uranus entered the sign of Pisces in March 2003. The purpose of Uranus is to awaken the subconscious mind. To free the individual and break up traditions. This is usually done with a surprise and jolt to the system. There is nothing subtle or gentle about this energy. Where you find Aquarius in your chart is what you need to become conscious of in your daily life. Where you find Uranus in the chart is where you will play out the drama, get the surprises, until you deal with the issues of the house ruled by Uranus.

Uranus rules inventions, new technology, occult, astrology, futuristic ideas, humanitarian principles, rebellions and autonomy. Uranus is considered to rule generational ideals as it takes 84 years to complete a cycle.

As one of the outer planets, Uranus brings forth issues that need to be addressed Globally. It is the Human Race consciousness that needs to be raised. This will only be achieved when each individual does their part. Before we can clean up the World, we must first clean our own house.

Neptune In Aquarius

Neptune is the Dream Weaver in our Charts. Here is where we can drift off into the Other Realm of reality and make our world whatever we want. Neptune is the mist of the water element. It’s energy is subtle, and just out of reach. When your in a Neptunian fog, it is very hard to nail down anything concrete. It just seems to slip out of your reach of logic, just when you think you have it.

Where you find Pisces in your Chart, is where you like to drift away. Your intuition is very strong, but your logic is on holiday. It is the place where you are easily deceived, or easily deceive yourself. It will also be the place where you will receive your greatest aspirations and insights. Where you find Neptune in the chart is where you will play out your dream scenarios.

The material plane is not the plane of Neptune. It is hard to get concrete logical results from a Neptune transit. Neptune brings the illusion of what can be, if you can trust your intuition and see through the fog.

Neptune entered Aquarius on January 30, 1998 and will leave on February 3, 2012. In the sign of Aquarius, Neptune’s action will be reactive.

Pluto In Sagittarius

Pluto is the destroyer of all that is no longer useful in our lives. Its' power is erosion of the very fabric of our reality. Pluto begins the process of erosion by stirring the emotions. Little by little we question our selves and our motives. We see conspiracy in our lives. We do not trust anyone. This spiral of questioning continues in a downward pull until we bottom out. We can stay at the bottom for a long, long time. The climb upward only begins when we have finally learned to trust ourselves and reclaim our own power. Here is the transformation from puppet to master.

The house where we find Scorpio is where we need to dig out the garbage of our psyche. Where Pluto is placed in the chart, is where we will play out the phobia’s and obsessions in our lives.

Pluto entered the sign of Sagittarius on November 11, 1995 and will exit on November 28, 2008.

With it’s transit of the house where Sagittarius is on the cusp we will uncover the depths of our obsession to religion, philosophy, and our morals. The truth will be uncovered slowly but surely. Pluto in Sagittarius is in a Natural semi-sextile aspect to it’s Natal sign of Scorpio. We will feel this transit and respond in a reactive way. It will be more of an instinctive reaction, fight or flight.
