Basic Chart Delineation - Simplified

Blending the many variables of a natal chart can be compared to putting a jig saw puzzle together with some of the pieces missing. Combing the key words of the planets, signs and aspects can be an ominous task, even for the most advanced astrologer. Sifting through the obvious, to find the pulse, and get to the heart of the chart is definitely an art. Many books have been written by very talented and astute astrologers to help us through this maze of key words, and yet, a lot of us are still confused and frustrated. The following method is not new, different, or probably even exciting, it is just simply simplified. Take the chart, one piece at a time and build the picture, so you can understand all of the variables step by step.
Consider the sign on the house cusp as the landlord. The ruler of the sign tells you how the house matters will be handled. The planets in the house are the tenants, and their energies will affect the matters of that house.
The Houses - Basic Key Words
- FIRST HOUSE: Your personality, how you present yourself to others, what you allow other people to see.
- SECOND HOUSE: What you hold most dear, your view of the future.
- THIRD HOUSE: How you listen, how you talk, how you learn.
- FOURTH HOUSE: Where you go to lick your wounds, where you bottom out, your soul, the inner core of you, how you end things.
- FIFTH HOUSE: What you really like to do to have fun, what you consider enjoyment to be, where you shine.
- SIXTH HOUSE: How you solve your daily dilemmas and problems, what you worry about.
- SEVENTH HOUSE: What compliments you, what fulfils you, what is your missing link.
- EIGHTH HOUSE: What motivates you, how much do you investigate the other side, how you dissect and dissimilate.
- NINTH HOUSE: How you interpret the 'Golden Rule', your moral ethics, your philosophies.
- TENTH HOUSE: What you consider success to be and how you handle success when you achieve it, your concept of authority, your interpretation of responsibilities.
- ELEVENTH HOUSE: How you organize your life, how you fit into the universe as a whole.
- TWELFTH HOUSE: What you are afraid to look back on, your hidden strengths.
